Before the Science and Aviation Picnic officially begins, the skies above the event will be opened by a Taylorcraft Auster!

This unique observation and liaison aircraft, manufactured in the UK in 1944, served in the RAF with the side number MT 255 in 659 Squadron. It made combat flights from Normandy to Germany.

After the war, it found its place in the civil aviation of England and Spain, only to find its way to Poland in 2011 thanks to Jacek Mainka. Today, it is living aviation history!
