We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a CASA C-295M transport aircraft during the Picnic.
This modern military transport aircraft replaced the worn-out An-2 and An-26 machines, going to the 8th Transport Aviation Base in Balice.
Its main task is to train air crews, transport people and cargo. From the deck of the C-295M, several thousand parachute jumps are performed annually by soldiers of the Land Forces and Special Forces, heavy containers are also landed, the so-called landing tare. The aircraft also carries out flights with the most important people in the country. In addition, C-295M crews are involved in humanitarian and evacuation actions in countries affected by natural disasters. They also support Polish transplantology - transporting organs for transplantation as part of “Operation Heart”.
Thanks to its reliability and versatility, the C-295M is a key component of Polish military aviation.
