On 27th - 30th May 2025, Polish Air Force University and Military University of Technology were the host of a unique event of the European range – European Union Military Academies Commandants’ Seminar – EUMACS 2025.
Polish Air Force University organized the second day of the EUMACS 2025 seminar, as well as European Air Force Academies Commandants’ Conference – EUAFA CC 2025 within the official celebration of 100th anniversary of the School of Eaglets and the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The representatives of 24 countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and United Kingdom) from international military academies and universities, and 5 Polish military academies attended the above events.
This historical meeting with the participation of the highest rank of leadership military and academic staff of Armed Forces was aimed at: discussing the process of internationalization of higher military education in Europe within the international mobility program Military Erasmus – EMILYO and exchange of experience in this area, raising crucial issues regarding security and defence in Europe with the reference to the current geopolitical situation, as well as strenghtening cooperation and partnership, and interoperability of the Armed Forces in Europe.
At the Polish Air Force University, 3 expert discussion panels were conducted including:
- Air Power in Hybrid Operations and its significant impact on military education;
- Air-Land & Maritime Integration in Multi-Domain Operations – challenge
to military education; - Modern Combat Means of Warfare.
International participants were also familiarized with the process of education and training of PAFU and WAT, and training infrastructure of both universities. During the conference in Dęblin, also unique heritage of School of Eaglets and Polish Air Force was presented. The visit ended with getting acquainted international guests with history and culture of Poland while visiting historical and significant places of Warsaw.
