On Saturday, June 7, 2025, the 1st Gliding Competition for landing accuracy for the Cup of the Rector-Commander of the Military Aviation Academy, organized on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the School of Eaglets, took place at the airport in Deblin.
Nineteen competitors took part in the event, each of whom performed two glider flights. The athletes competed in three competitions:
- accuracy of landing individually,
- correctness of takeoffs and landings,
- team competition.
The main goal was to land as accurately as possible at the designated point.
Results of the team competition:
- 1st place - 42nd Training Air Base
- II place - 41st Training Air Force Base
- Third place - 23rd Tactical Aviation Base
The competition was organised by the LAW gliding science club. The event was co-organised by the Krosno Airport and the Awiatorzy Foundation - People of Aviation.
Special thanks go to the Artus Aircraft company for providing the unique Artus 600-Lighter aircraft, which is characterised by a whole range of innovative or even unprecedented features.
