On 13 June 2025, a ceremony was held at the Air Force Military Academy in Dęblin to open the newly built Hall of Tradition - a place that will cultivate the memory of the glorious history of Polish military aviation and the Orląt School.
The ceremony began with a solemn Holy Mass. The Eucharist was concelebrated by Rev. Col. Mariusz Stolarczyk, pastor of the military parish in Dęblin, Rev. Lt. Col. Marcin Janocha, head of the field bishop's secretariat, Rev. Maj. Błażej Woszczek, chaplain of the 25th Air Cavalry Brigade, Rev. Capt. Mariusz Gawłowski, chaplain of the LAW, and clergy from civilian parishes in Dęblin.
The Mass was attended by the Rector-Commander of the LAW Brig. Gen. Pil. Dr. Krzysztof Cur, staff, instructors and students of the LAW. Also present were: Deputy Director of the Department of Military Education Leszek Wieczorek, Deputy Commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces Major General Dariusz Malinowski, Commander of the Air Operations Centre - Commander of the Air Component Major General Ireneusz Starzyński, Commander of the 1st Base of Transport Aviation Major General Paweł Bigos, Head of the Military Aviation Authority Major General Grzegorz Ślusarz, PhD.
The concluding Mass was followed by a symbolic ribbon-cutting and dedication of the Hall.
The Hall of Tradition was created to preserve and disseminate the heritage of the Airborne Military Academy. The exhibition includes unique documents, uniforms, decorations, memorabilia and aircraft models, showing the development of aviation training in Poland from the inter-war period to the present day. There is also a special place for a multimedia presentation on the history of the school and its outstanding graduates.
The opening of the Hall of Tradition is an important step in the further development of the educational and patriotic mission of the Military Aviation Academy, which is one of the pillars of military training in Poland.
