The tournament, which will last from 18 to 22 August this year, is being held at the ‘School of Eaglets’ and is one of the key events in the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of this distinguished military academy.
This is the third time that Poland has hosted the best chess players in uniform from the member states of the North Atlantic Alliance. This year's edition has attracted players from 17 countries, who will compete for several days not only for victory, but also for prestige and respect in the international military community. The championships are not only a sporting competition at the highest level, but also an excellent opportunity to promote Poland, the Polish Army and the Military University of Aviation. Participants and guests also have the opportunity to learn about the history and traditions of the ‘School of Eaglets’, which has been educating the elite of Polish military aviation for a hundred years.
