The Science and Aviation Picnic in Deblin is a unique opportunity to see the W-3 PL “Grouse”, which is the latest development version of the W-3 “Falcon” helicopter.
The helicopter has been equipped with an integrated avionics system, including a state-of-the-art weapons management system, the “FADEC” fuel and engine control system, and an optoelectronic warhead for surveillance and reconnaissance.
“Grouse” is capable of fighting ground and air targets, performing CAS/CCA missions, landing troops using rope techniques, performing search and rescue tasks, recovering isolated personnel, and much more.
The upgrade of the “Falcon” to the “Grouse” version was based on the experience gained on foreign missions. Currently, the helicopter performs tasks in the 2nd CSAR Helicopter Squadron at the 56th Air Base in Inowrocław.
The W-3 PL “Glushec” is an excellent example of a modern multipurpose helicopter that combines innovative technologies with combat effectiveness.
