On April 6, 2025, the Tournament for the Cup of the Minister of National Defense in Chess was held at the Airborne Military Academy within the framework of the 100th anniversary of the School of Eagles. The event was attended by 105 people from both the military and civilian communities. The youngest participant was 11, and the oldest was 70 years old. The Aviation Department of the Airborne Military Academy was responsible for the organization, under the supervision of Lt. Col. Res. Witold Sarnowski and with the support and assistance of: Ministry of Defense, General Staff of the Polish Army, General Command of the RSZ, Polish Chess Federation.
The games were played using the Swiss system over a distance of 9 rounds according to FIDE regulations.
Awards were given in three categories:

- 2 OPEN - Mr. Hadzicki Tomasz
- 3 OPEN - Mr. Michałowski Patryk
Uniformed environment category:

- 3 uniformed environment - Mr. Kędzierski Sławomir
Special awards category:

The purpose of organizing the tournament was to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the School of Eagles and to promote chess in the military community.
