The two-day Conference “Security of Airports and Seaports” began at the Air Force Military Academy in Deblin on April 14. The event is one of the most prestigious scientific events in Poland, dedicated to the integration of civil and state aviation and shipping communities. This year's edition offers a unique space to present innovative solutions and conduct in-depth discussions on key challenges in the security of aviation and maritime infrastructure, as well as its technological, industrial and human resources base.

The aim of the Conference is to exchange experiences, present the results of scientific research, as well as the latest technological and organizational developments that underpin the development of the civil aviation and maritime transport sector in the 21st century. The subject of discussion is also to present the latest scientific achievements and development work related to the defense and protection of airports and seaports against both non-military and military threats. The project provides a platform for scientific dialogue and exchange of experiences in the field of aviation and maritime security, thus enabling the identification of needs for the development of organizations and technical systems responsible for port defense and security.

The conference focuses on current challenges and opportunities in improving airport and seaport security. Special emphasis will be placed on innovative organizational, technological, management and training solutions.

The event will also provide a venue for an in-depth debate on the security of emerging infrastructure, including the Central Port of Communications (CPK). Experts will assess the state of the industrial base and provide directions for its further development.

The two-day session will analyze the potential benefits to the Polish economy from the involvement of domestic industry and R&D in the development of civil aviation and maritime transport. Such a broad coverage of security issues underscores the need for close cooperation between the scientific, industrial and social communities.

The event brings together a wide range of experts and practitioners related to transportation safety - representatives of universities, airports and seaports, technical high schools, as well as people involved in the development of the aviation and maritime industries.

Participants include representatives of the Border Guard Headquarters, the Internal Security Agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration, the Association of Security Experts of the Republic of Poland, the Fire Academy, the Police University and numerous institutions and organizations from the transport and security sector.
